Day 1 Down... 9 More To Go 😀  Today was definitely interesting.  I decided to start my cleanse on a Friday and kind of kick back and take it easy for the first 3 days of the cleanse.  The day started off beautifully... I slept in until about 10am and listened to motivational speakers.  When I finally did get up, I had a toasty cup of senna tea while reading exerts from Stanley Bourroughs book.  Then, I got a phone call from one of my drivers (I own a delivery service) That the delivery was refused.  Typically wouldn't be a big deal if the drivers didn't have another package on there truck set for delivery early Monday morning 500 miles away.  LOL... Long story short, everything worked out and I actually surprised myself at how cool I was under pressure today.  When the drama settled, I remembered to drink my juice, left my home office and snuggled on the couch in the living room listening to spiritual teachers.  I felt so chilly and the comfy blanket and pillows put me in deep relaxation.  Overall Day 1 went shockingly well.

Day 5!!  I made it!!  And I am so proud of myself. 😊 😊 😊 😊 So Day 2 happened on a Saturday.  I spent the majority of the day watching inspirational teachers on YouTube and relaxing.  I had to force myself to drink the juice because I really wasn’t feeling it.  I also started watching Chef Gordon Ramseys new cooking show “Next Level Chef”… Wasn’t sure if I’d be ready for foodie shows, but I was… and I am!  Day 3 was restless.  I started binge watching “The Great British Baking Show” and remembering to do the juice chug a lug between episodes.  I started accepting the fact that I am actually on a cleanse right now and forcing myself to drink my juice… I try to get most of it in before 7 pm.  In the meantime, Sunday night was horrible.  I couldn’t sleep for more than two hours at a time, and when I did get some sleep I found myself in some pretty vivid dreams.  Needless to say, I was soooo very happy to make it to Day 4!!  Which was the day that I truly impressed myself.  Putting out fires at work with ease and grace.  Never losing my temper and actually getting a lot accomplished.  Yesterday, Day 4 was a very good day.  I drank my juice and actually slept well throughout the night only waking once.

Which brings me to today!!  DAY 5!!!  I can hardly believe that I’m already on Day 5!!  Today was another day where I got a lot accomplished.  I’m doing so well that I’m starting to wonder what type of diet to take on after the cleanse.  I’m honestly not sure.   But I do believe that life is meant to be enjoyed… and food brings me so much joy! 😊 So I guess for now, I’ll just have to listen to my body and let my feelings lead the way.

Day 15!!!  Initially when I started documenting my cleanse journey, I assumed that I would be journaling everyday and staying motivated with the help of other cleansers.  But this journey has been 360 degrees opposite of that.  I haven't really been documenting my cleanse or even connecting with other cleansers.  This cleanse has been a very private inward journey that I really wasn't expecting.  I guess I expected to jump into work mode and mental clarity and live in a bubble full of positive energy and good feelings... Well au contraire... LOL

This cleanse has been very much about listening to my body as well as listening to the way I feel.  If I found myself feeling "extra" or "emotional" ... then I would limit my phone time and not take personal calls.  Finding solace in watching all of my favorite cooking competitions.  I am currently very much enthralled with Next Level Chef, Master Chef and Top Chef.  I also started binging on Married at First Site  and have plans to start watching Game of Thrones from the beginning... So, yeah... I've been practicing the art of escapism via hit series and food porn.

I found days 7 and 8 to be my most challenging.  Those were the two days that I just felt like throwing in the towel.  But then it was 2pm and 6pm and 10pm... then it was bed time and then it was a new day, and I made it.  Days 9 and 10 were a bit of a blur.  Then around day 13 my wrist was really in pain.  I guess it's what arthritis or carpal tunnel would feel like.  And this morning, like magic, no wrist pain.  As a matter of fact, I am feeling amazing!

I have been fairly nonconventional on this cleanse... Not really bothering with the SWF and drinking yesterday's lemonade. I make my lemonade in batches, using about 4 lemons to 6 bottles of water and just enough maple syrup to sweeten it.  Horrible recipe, but that's what I've been doing and it's been working.  I drink my senna tea every morning and sometimes in the evening.  By 7pm I try to have finished most of my juice.  I also try to drink at least 2 or 3 bottles of water per day.

All in all... I'm feeling fantastic today and have plans to keep going for at least 5 more days.  Fingers crossed and happy cleansing!
